How To Create A Bootable Flash Drive


Note: You will lose all the data on your flash drive, so make sure you backed your stuff up before proceeding!





1) Install UltraISO by double-clicking it (it's a silent install).

2) Find the ISO and right click it, choose "Open With UltraISO."

3) Insert your flash drive (must be 4GB or larger).

4) At the top left of UltraISO, you will see "Bootable" - click it and choose "Write Disk Image".

5) In the "Disk Drive" drop-down menu, find your flash drive. Make sure you have the correct drive letter.

6) Once you are sure it is the correct drive, click "Write".

(It will take about 5-10 minutes depending on your drive speed).



-How To boot from your new bootable flash drive and install Windows-

1) Restart the computer with the flash drive in one of the USB ports.

2) When the computer first starts, you should see "Press F2, F9, F10 ext.. for Temporary Boot Device" - Press that button quickly! (if you miss it, just restart and try again)

3) A list of your connected hardware should pop up - choose your flash drive and hit enter.

4) Do a "clean" install of Windows as usual.
